Breaking News!!

This is just to let you all know that I have ridden "Lilly" the little lilac bike all the way to work and back today. I can honestly say, hand on heart, it nearly killed me!
I have also resigned myself to the fact I will now be walking like John Wayne for the next week or so, and boy is my backside tender....ooo ouch!! On the plus side though, I have saved Bus fair, plus it will get me fit, if it doesn't see me off first!

Hi Halfie, now promise you won't laugh, it's just over a mile away! I rode in and home again today. Will you just encourage me and tell me the pain will stop soon!!Please! I think I will need an Epidural to ride tomorrow. I am determined to keep it up though, I have saved £4:40 in bus fairs up to now!

Debbie.

Debbie, laugh, moi? Perish the thought!

My advice would be: give yourself plenty of time so you can take it slowly. Perhaps you need a gel saddle cover, or you could try wrapping an old t-shirt over the saddle to bulk it up a bit.

It will get easier - I can almost guarantee that in a couple of weeks the ride will feel no distance at all. And think how much you will have saved!

Thanks Halfie, I have been to the " Backside Shop" and have a new bottom on order!!Lol! I will get myself a new gel saddle I think, do they make them in armchair shape??

!!! (That's applause Debbie.)
Good on you. You never know what head might turn at the sight of a lovely woman on a bike--especially a lilac bike named Lilly. :)

I've been wondering if you changed your interior over from fall/winter to spring/summer. I remember the beautiful pics you included in a previous blog that showed your boudior all decked out for the new season. It looked wonderful!

Hi Jaqueline, thank you for the encouragement, don't quite know if "Lilly" is friend or foe?? It is getting slightly easier, I just look like I have been hurtled through a wind machine by the time I get to work! As for my boudoir, I didn't really do a change as such, kept my nice duck egg because I loved the colour so much! Will let you see any new bedding I indulge in. ( one of my passions, bedding)!
Yes Les, I agree, I should advertise lol!
